Who is Royale?

From a young age, Royale, full name Royale Baez, had a knack for performance. An edgy, down to earth artist born in Boston, MA and raised in Brockton, MA. From a young age Royale was active in the local musical and performance activities, taking every opportunity from talent shows, school choir, musicals, dance teams, and boy groups, he knew he was destined to be one thing: an entertainer. Growing up and watching artists such as Rihanna, Usher, Beyoncé, and Janet Jackson, to name a few, he wanted to follow in these monumental footsteps. Royale’s ethnic background also influenced his artistry, having a family from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, Royale grew up hearing diverse musical sounds such as reggae, soca, reggaeton, and dancehall combined with the ones of his Pop/R&B influences. After completing high school, Royale decided he was going to pursue music and entertainment full time, committing to Loyola University New Orleans as a Popular and Commercial Music major, with a voice concentration. From there, Royale has been writing and recording original music since 2022, with 3 singles as a lead artist released: ItBoy, Deja Vu, and Motion. Royale’s music is described as the sweet spot between R&B and Pop, with very obvious Caribbean influences. Currently, Royale is working on his debut EP, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025.
